The main focus of this course is the in depth study of architectural drafting. We will discuss possible career paths, codes related to residential construction, and cover the following architectural plans: floor plans, plot plans, foundation plans, elevations, window and door schedules, electrical plans, HVAC plans, plumbing plans, and roof plans. There will also be an emphasis over the correct use of symbols. Students will also be assigned to make a scaled model of the house they designed in class.
Students should have taken Introduction to Industry, and Introduction to Drafting prior to this course.
