Course Description
Students will be assigned different projects that will require them to use all the major tools in the shop. There is a major emphasis on safety, and safety tests will be required for all tools in the shop. Students will learn the different types of woods used in the shop, different wood joints, and finishing techniques. Students will be required to use wood joints to hold projects together. Exposed nails and screws are not allowed. Students will be given ample time to complete a large project of their own choice. Students are also required to bring their own glasses, tape measure, and pay for any projects that they keep.
Make-up assignments:
Make-up work will be completed according to the student handbook.

· Follow classroom and shop rules

Classroom and shop rules will be covered at the beginning of school.
